‘Beeronomics’ is the application of economic concepts and methods to beer industry issues, trends, policies, etc. It is a growing sub (sub, sub, sub…) discipline of agricultural and food economics with strong linkages to the Wine Economics sub-discipline.

The 2026 beeronomics tour will:
• Introduce you to craft beer brewing methods with a showcase of beer brewing at Home of Brewers craft brewery in Adelaide CBD
• Provide insights into the craft beer industry including constraints and solution pathways to growing rates of failure and quality issues in craft brewing in Australia and globally
• Take you on a tour of a range of Adelaide craft breweries with lunch to be provided and allowing you the chance to both see the beautiful Adelaide Hills region and to sample some great craft beers from around the Hills

The tour will begin at 9am Tuesday 10th Feb in the Adelaide CBD and will conclude at 5pm at the same location. A preliminary itinerary is below.
• 9am meet at 258 Pulteney St for coffee and snack
• 9.30am Brew a beer with Home of Brewers (258 Pulteney St) while learning about material supply, labour input, capital requirements, etc, for brewing
