Poster presentations Posters will be displayed in a room in the Adelaide Convention Centre throughout the conference.
Please bring your poster to the Welcome Reception or bring it from 7:30am Wednesday to Friday to hang your poster up for display (i.e., for day registrants). Poster presenters are responsible for hanging their own posters. Volunteers will be available to assist. Poster presenters are encouraged to stand by their posters during the morning tea and afternoon tea breaks and discuss their work with delegates. There will be a special poster session Friday lunchtime.
There is a “People’s Choice” award for best poster, so please include your Submission Number on the bottom of your poster. A voting slip will be attached to conference delegates’ name tags, and they will be asked to write the number of their choice for the best poster on that and put it in a box at the registration desk. Voting closes at lunchtime on Friday 13 February. There will also be a judges prize awarded to best poster.
It is the participants’ responsibility to take down their own poster (or organise for this to be done by others) at the end of the conference (or after the Friday lunchtime session). All posters not collected at the end of the conference will be discarded.
Poster format: Include your Submission Number at the bottom of your poster. We recommend formatting your poster as A0 poster (841 x 1189mm) and to use a portrait orientation. Add photos, graphs, tables and text boxes to suit. Don’t include too much text and use a large font (good posters rely more on photos and graphs). Keep tables and graphs simple and use appropriate colours.
