River Torrens
Tuesday, 10 February 2025 at 7.30-9.00 AM
Everyone is welcome to join the first AARES Fun Run/Walk on Tuesday 10th February, even if you did not register.
Meet us at the Elder Park Rotunda at 7.30 AM for a relaxed walk or a run along the beautiful River Torrens. Try and wear blue for AARES, if you can.
Runners will head off toward the zoo for a longer loop (around 6 km – but can be less if needed), while walkers will enjoy a shorter riverside loop of about an hour, with flexible options to finish earlier.

Conference Dinner

Playford Hotel, 120 North Terrace, Adelaide SA 5000
Wednesday, 11 February 2025, at 6.30-10 PM Forget the stiff formal dinners. This year, we’re heading to The Playford on North Terrace to celebrate our members in a grand setting. The Playford is an iconic location. It’s the place where locals go for those "milestone" moments—the ones involving long, laughter-filled dinners and one too many glasses of incredible South Australian Shiraz. It’s got that warm soul that makes you want to settle in and stay a while. We’ve curated a menu that’s a bit of a "greatest hits" of South Australian produce. Think of bold, honest flavours sourced from the hills and the coast, and paired with the world-class wines that we're lucky enough to call "local" here. Of course, it wouldn't be an AARES dinner without a surprise. Professor David Pannell will step onto the stage for a special performance. For those who only know David through his research or his lectures, you’re about to see a completely different side of him. See you there. |
